As this passed term we’ve studied \u00abTemperature and heat\u00bb, our natural sciences \"farenheit\"<\/a>teacher asked us to watch a fiction film called Farenheit 451. She knew that film would be extremely touching for both of us. She knows we enjoy the magic of reading , and if you feel the same you should watch it.
\nBased on the 1951 Ray Bradbury novel (*) of the same name, it speaks about firemen in a futuristic society. They don’t put fire out ; they must burn any books reported by informants , just because the government thinks that only a stupid population can be easily controlled. So the firemen in this society go to houses in search of books and book owners.
\nIn the film, Guy Montag, one of the most efficient firemen, meets a primary teacher who seems to be happy and clever! So different compared to the rest!
\nThis girl, Clarisse, asks him to question his way of life and why books need to be burned. She reads a lot , and Montag wonders what do people feel when they read, so he gets some of the books he is meant to burn and he starts reading at midnights, \"faren2\"<\/a>when his wife doesn’t notice.
\nShe’s like the other social products: stupid and with personality disorder. Montag soon realizes he is unhappy with his profession and his wife.
\nHe gets on well with the teacher, and enjoy reading books but then, people start to suspect about him. Once, when he was reading, his wife discovers him, and since that moment they start to separate their selves. One of the teacher’s friend, an old highbrow lady, is found out, and with her, an enormous library she had collected. This woman is burned alive with her books.
\nThis is the reason why Montag decides to do something useful for that society. But when he had just started, his wife denounces him. He’s supposed to check and burn his own house, but he kills his boss instead, and he runs away looking for his loved teacher who, as him, would be a man-book.
\nThe title is called like that because at 451 grades Fahrenheit, the paper leaves in books burn.
