Throughout this book, you will be able to know what the American life and society l was like in the eighteen century.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Louisa May Alcott was a famous writer in the American modern literature.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>She was born in 1832 and died in 1888.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n She is very well known by her novel: \u201cLittle women\u201d.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n She also wrote other books like \u201cLittle men\u201d, which was also very successful.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The background of the story takes place during the American Civil War, which started in 1861: It divided the people of the United Stated in two groups: the North states, which were industrial and the South states, the agricultural ones.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the story, four sisters: Meg(16), Jo(15), Beth(13), Amy(12) live with their mother and a maid, the old Hannah Mullet.
